Agreement
By using 100 Brachot you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The service
100 Brachot is a free app that helps you count your daily blessings toward a hundred a day, with tracking, reminders, groups and insights. Some features (reminders, backup and groups) depend on the network and on outside services.
Halachic content
The app is an aid for counting blessings. Its halachic content — counts, explanations, suggestions for completing the day and daily times — is meant as an aid for learning only, not a halachic ruling. We try to be careful and cite sources, but customs and opinions differ: for any question, consult a rabbi.
Daily times (such as sunrise, sunset and nightfall) are calculated on the device for the location you chose, and may differ slightly from other calendars depending on the exact place and the method of calculation.
Important: the aim is to notice the blessings you say properly during the day. Never say an unnecessary blessing (bracha she'eina tzricha) just to complete the count.
Halachic content is a study aid, not a ruling. For any question, consult a rabbi.
Your data
Your data is stored on your device. Clearing browser data, removing the app or switching devices may erase it unless you keep a backup — in the cloud (by signing in) or in a file. We cannot recover data that was deleted.
Account (optional)
You can use the app without an account. If you choose to sign in — through the hosting provider's login system, with your Google account — a backup of your blessing log, shortcuts and some settings is kept in your account, as described in the privacy policy. You can delete the cloud backup at any time in Settings, and deleting all your data while signed in (in Settings or with the contact form) deletes the account itself too. You are responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure.
Reminders
Reminders are a helpful extra and are not guaranteed: they may be delayed or not arrive, for example because of device settings or the push service. We take care not to send reminders on Shabbat and holidays for the location you chose.
Community and group conduct
Groups are for mutual encouragement, not competition. Group names, descriptions, dedications and display names must be respectful:
- No offensive, degrading, inciting, sexual or unlawful content, and nothing that harms another person's dignity.
- Don't impersonate others or publish other people's personal details without their consent.
- Don't use groups for advertising or spam.
- Whoever creates a group is responsible for its content and may remove members. We may remove content or groups that break these terms.
Anyone with the invitation code can see the group's name, dedication and description, so don't include anything you wouldn't want to share.
Fair use
You agree to:
- Use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Not try to disrupt the app or its server, get around its limits, or collect data from it automatically.
- Not use the app in any unlawful way.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind — including for the accuracy of calculations, times and counts, the availability of the service, or the delivery of reminders.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from the use of the app, including loss of data.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms from time to time, and change or discontinue features. The updated version will be posted here with its date, and continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept it.
